EKU hosts reception welcoming PIMSER

A reception was held on Oct. 6 to welcome the Partnership Institute for Math and Science Education Reform (PIMSER) and its Regional Teacher Partners (Master Teachers) to EKU. PIMSER is a branded name across Kentucky for providing high quality support for P-20 STEM improvement. PIMSER is directed by Dr. Kim Zeidler-Watters. 

The reception was hosted by Dr. Tom Otieno, dean/professor, College of Science; Dr. Sherry Powers, dean, College of Education; and Dr. Jerry Pogatshnik, dean, Graduate Education, and vice president of research. Dr. Benson; Dr. Lee Todd, president emeritus at the University of Kentucky; and Dr. Aaron Thompson, vice president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, kicked off the event by speaking about the importance of STEM education. The reception was attended by deans, chairs, and other distinguished guests from the College of Science and College of Education.
